What You'll Learn
Aussie Conditions
Look, if you live near a train line or a construction site, your car is copping a hiding from metal particles. I've seen brand new white Hiluxes covered in 'rail dust' after just a week. This guide is a quick hit-list to get that paint smooth again without making a mess of it in the Aussie sun.

The Decon Process
Deep Clean Wash
Give the car a proper wash and dry. You want the iron remover hitting the metal particles, not sitting on top of red dust or road grime.
Sectional Spray
Work one panel at a time. Start with the wheels, then move to the tailgate and lower doors where the most fallout usually sits.
The Dwell Time
Wait 3-5 minutes. You'll see it turn purple (bleeding). This is the chemical reaction. I once did this on a black Commodore and couldn't see the 'bleed', keep a close eye.
Agitation (Optional)
If the wheels are filthy, give them a light scrub with your brush while the product is reacting. Don't let it dry out though!
The Big Rinse
Pressure wash the living daylights out of it. Rinse the panel, the gaps, the trim, and the ground. You don't want any residue left behind.
Final Contact Wash
Quickly wash the car again with your soapy mitt to neutralise any remaining chemicals. This is a step most blokes skip, but it's worth it.
