Pre-Start Checklist
Step-By-Step Technique
Prime the Pad
Apply 3-4 pea-sized drops of compound. Spread it across the pad face with your finger so there are no dry spots.
Section Selection
Work in a small area, about 40cm x 40cm. Don't try to do the whole bonnet at once or the polish will dry out.
The Working Pass
Use slow, overlapping horizontal and vertical movements. Keep the pad flat! If you tilt it, you'll get uneven results or heat build-up.
Pressure and Speed
Apply moderate pressure, enough to slow the machine slightly but not stop the rotation. Use speed 4 or 5 on most DA machines.
Wipe and Inspect
Buff away residue with a clean microfibre. Use your IPA spray to remove oils so you can see if the swirls are actually gone.
