The Matte Reality

Since you can't polish out the etch mark later, that mark is there for life. Keep a bottle of matte-specific quick detailer and a clean microfiber in the boot for 'tactical removals' at the servo.

The Two-Bucket Method is Non-Negotiable

Because you can't polish out swirls, you have to prevent them. If you've been out near the coast and got salt spray or red dust on the car, give it a massive rinse first. I reckon a snow foam cannon is a must-have for matte owners. It lifts the grit off before you even touch the paint with a mitt. Can I use a pressure washer?
Yeah, but don't get too close. Keep the nozzle at least 30-40cm away from the paint. High pressure can actually lift the edges of matte wraps or damage the delicate texture of the clear coat.
How do I fix a scratch on matte paint?
To be honest? You usually can't. If it's through the clear coat, the panel needs a respray. You can't use touch-up pens easily because they're usually glossy. It's why prevention is the whole game here.
Is it okay to wash it in the sun?
Hard no. Especially in March. The water will dry too fast and leave water spots. Matte paint is notorious for showing water marks, and they are a nightmare to get off without using acidic cleaners that might damage the finish.
