What You'll Learn
Aussie Conditions
Look, I've spent 15 years cleaning everything from dusty farm utes to high-end Euro SUVs, and the secret isn't some magic chemical. It's actually having a systematic way of attacking the mess so you don't just move dirt from one spot to another. Since it's Autumn and that sun is still biting, we're focusing on deep cleaning and serious UV protection. This is the exact process I use in my own shop every day.

What You'll Need
The Detailing Process
The Big Blowout
Use compressed air or your vac on blow mode to get dust out of the tight spots before you start wiping. It saves a heap of time.
Dry Vacuuming
Vac everything from the top down. Seats first, then carpets. Spend extra time on the driver's footwell where that coastal sand hides.
Hard Surface Scrub
Spray APC on your brush or pad, not the dash. Work it into the grain and wipe away the lather with a clean microfibre immediately.
Leather & Fabric Care
Clean leather with a dedicated brush. For fabric stains, I usually find a quick agitation with APC and a damp cloth does the trick.
UV Protection Application
Apply your protectant to the dash and door tops. This is crucial for Aussie cars, I've seen way too many cracked Holden dashboards from sun neglect.
Crystal Clear Glass
Use two towels: one to apply cleaner and one to buff dry. This is the only way to avoid those annoying hazy streaks at night.
Door Jams and Seals
Don't forget the bits you only see when the door is open. Wipe the grease and red dust out of the sills and rubbers.
